About
Kia ora! I'm the maker behind dC jewellery, crafting sterling silver pieces from my studio overlooking Te Tai Tokerau Northland's stunning Kaipara Harbour.
Every day, I'm greeted by the ever-changing moods of the harbour - sometimes glass-calm and reflective, other times wild with whitecaps dancing across the water. This beautiful backdrop isn't just my view; it's my daily inspiration. The organic curves of the coastline, the play of light on water, and the raw beauty of this special corner of Aotearoa all find their way into my work.
There's something special about transforming a piece of sterling silver into something meaningful. Each piece begins as an idea - sometimes sketched over coffee while watching the tide turn, other times sparked by a moment, memory or reflection.
My process is entirely hands-on. I design, shape, solder, hammer, file and polish each piece myself, taking time to ensure every detail is just right. The beauty of handmade means every piece is unique. Each ring, necklace or pair of earrings carries the subtle marks of being crafted by hand, making your piece uniquely yours.
Working from my harbour-side studio means I can take my time with each piece to get it how I envisaged. Many pieces are a one-off - if you see something here that is sold out but you'd like something similar, or you'd like something in a different necklace length or ring size, please get in touch as I welcome commissions.
